Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Asian Management and Entrepreneurship Journal (AMEJ) welcomes submissions from researchers, academics, and practitioners in the fields of management, entrepreneurship, business, and related disciplines. To ensure consistency and quality across all published articles, authors must strictly adhere to the following bibliographic and formatting standards.

1. General Formatting Requirements

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx). PDF submissions will not be accepted.

  • Paper Size: A4 (21 cm × 29.7 cm).

  • Margins: 25 mm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).

  • Font and Size: Times New Roman, 10 and 12 pt, single-spaced, justified alignment.

  • Length: Manuscripts should be between 6–11 pages, inclusive of references. Longer manuscripts may be considered if they provide significant scholarly contribution.

  • Headings: Use an Arabic numbering system (1, 1.1, 1.1.1). Headings should be concise and informative.

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in Bahasa Indonesia using clear, professional, and academic style. Abstracts are required in both Indonesian and English.

2. Title and Author Information

  • Title: Concise, informative, and clear. Written in Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold. Only the first word is capitalized (sentence case). Maximum 15 words.

  • Author Names: Full names should be provided without academic titles (e.g., “First Author, Second Author”).

  • Affiliations: Department, Faculty, Institution/University, City, Country.

  • Email: The primary author’s email address must be included.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract:

    • Written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

    • If the manuscript is fully in English, only the English abstract is required.

    • English abstract: maximum 200 words, italicized, single-spaced, one paragraph.

    • Indonesian abstract: maximum 200 words, single-spaced, one paragraph.

    • Must summarize: background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.

  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords, lowercase (except abbreviations), separated by commas.

4. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  1. Pendahuluan (Introduction)

    • Background of the study, importance of the research, and context.

    • Brief overview of relevant literature to highlight the research gap.

    • Objectives of the study.

  2. Tinjauan Pustaka (Literature Review)

    • Presents the theoretical foundation and relevant concepts.

    • Reviews prior empirical studies related to the research.

    • Identifies gaps or inconsistencies in existing research.

    • Provides the basis for the research framework and hypothesis development (if applicable).

  3. Metode Penelitian (Research Method)

    • Research design and approach.

    • Population and sample (with sampling technique).

    • Instruments, data collection methods, and procedures.

    • Analytical methods (statistical or qualitative).

  4. Hasil dan Pembahasan (Results and Discussion)

    • Present findings in a clear and logical order.

    • Discuss findings in relation to previous studies and theoretical frameworks.

    • Highlight novelty, implications, and contributions of the study.

  5. Kesimpulan (Conclusion)

    • Summarize main findings, contributions, and implications.

    • Provide limitations of the study.

    • Suggest directions for future research.

  6. Daftar Pustaka (References)

    • Must follow APA Style (7th edition).

    • Only include references cited in the manuscript.

5. References (APA 7th Edition)

  • A minimum of 10 recent and relevant sources (last 5 years) is required.

  • At least 80% of references must be from primary sources (journals, proceedings).

  • Use APA Style (7th edition) for all references.

  • It is strongly recommended to use a reference manager (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).

  • Each source cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
